Why is there a $1,000 requirement attached to the application?
This initiative was created by the board of directors back in December of 2020. Much discussion revolved around what would make someone a Hall of Fame teacher. It was decided that could vary from community to community based upon their influence in that area. Not all hall of fame teachers might be superstars in CDEs, LDEs, or livestock shows, but have influenced students in a positive manner. It was decided that the monetary aspect would make sure the person being nominated had support from the community.
